» DesignArt’s Vision - the Metrozone

 Mobile broadband services are driving a new data-centric delivery model – as they are predominantly consumed indoors. The delivery of high-capacity wireless indoor services requires the deployment of densely populated cellular networks in indoor and outdoor locations - Metrozones.

  • Metrozone = Access + Backhaul

 Creating a  layer of small and compact base stations, deployed in many new locations, picocell Metrozones need to be inter-connected via a flexible and low-cost backhaul fabric. A critical enabler, low-cost and high-capacity wireless backhaul technology will be the driving catalyst for rapid outdoor Metrozone deployments.

» DesignArt’s Solution - Open SoC Platform

 DesignArt’s open SoC platforms provide equipment vendors with a single R&D framework for the complete portfolio of mobile RAN infrastructure products, including solutions for base stations, relays, and femtocells, as well as high-capacity mobile backhaul systems.

 We have developed a highly integrated, yet powerful open SoC platform architecture for compact base stations with embedded self-backhaul. DesignArt’s SoC platform provides SLA-grade, high-capacity backhaul options for every cell site, in some cases even completely eliminating deployment costs - zero-cost, in-band backhaul.

 DesignArt’s comprehensive SoC solutions enable the rapid and cost-effective deployment of Metrozones, in form of picocell clusters and multi-hop relay topologies. Enabling cell sites everywhere, operators take advantage of the mobile broadband revolution, and can substantially lower the total cost-of-ownership (TCO) of the mobile RAN.
